Given through the D’Evelyn Education Foundation:

Excellence in Education Award to Molly Harrington, D’Evelyn Junior/Senior High School Counselor.  $3,000 Grant

Jamin B Wilson Life-Long Learner Memorial Scholarship given to Mattie Esquibel, D’Evelyn Junior/Senior High School senior.  $1,000 Scholarship


Given through the Community Foundation of Central Blue Ridge:   

Answer Nepal - Support for law & engineering students in Nepal. $8,000 Grant

GRASP (Great Aspirations), does great work in the Staunton, VA region to help high school students apply for college and find scholarships for tuition.  $5,500 Grant 

Valley Alliance for Education has amassed a tremendous record of successes in making grants to classroom teachers in need of resources to develop new and innovative programs for students.  $4,000 Grant

Elk Hill Farm provides specialized education, community-based mental health services, and residential treatment programs to help children and families discover the academic, vocational, behavioral, and relationship skills they need to be successful.  $2,000 Grant

Learn English and Reading Now, Inc. provides tutoring that includes the nuts and bolts of reading and writing and also how to address concerns of daily living like getting a job, obtaining appropriate healthcare, and being a good citizen.  $1,500 Grant

Boys & Girls Club of Waynesboro, Staunton & Augusta - The Boys & Girls Club has had great success with their after school and summer camp programs. Their attendees, typically elementary and middle school-age children, are generally at-risk students who are susceptible to high degrees of learning loss (academic back slide). $5,000 Grant 

On the Road Collaborative helps empower youth by providing equal access to educational opportunities and hands-on career experiences.  These opportunities and experiences include one-on-one and group tutoring, designated homework hours, and Career Enrichment Courses.  $4,500 Grant

 

Given through Jamin Fund Colorado:

Secular Scouts is a non-theistic program that helps young people work together to understand the world around them, while still having fun.  Programs are primarily based on the principles of science and math.  $3,000 Grant

School Connect, Uganda - Funding was provided to drill and install a water system for the Shalom Primary School in Kamuli, Uganda. This system will provide clean, safe water for more than 600 children, plus provide an impact that will be felt every single day in their health, learning, and overall well-being.  $5,000 Grant
